SS16 BORNEO
For SS16 RÆBURN took inspiration from the maverick anthropologist Tom Harrison and his aptly named biography ‘The Most Offending Soul Alive’. Harrison transcended cultural and geographic boundaries and defied convention, dividing opinions along the way; despite being quintessentially English he devoted his life to studying and preserving the environment and culture of Borneo. Eventually recruited by the British army, Harrison was parachuted in during the Second World War to persuade local tribes to support friendly forces.

A spirit of adventure, freedom and the discovery of new horizons lie at the heart of RÆBURN’s womenswear collection for Spring ⁄ Summer 2016. Inspired by the jungle territory of Borneo and female explorers both real and imagined, SARAWAK considers a woman negotiating an unknown environment.
