“It is Mr Ræburn’s clear vision of clothes that protect man and the planet
that make him an original and exceptional designer”
Every decision we make as a business is underpinned by the 4 R’s;
REMADE, REDUCED, RECYCLED and RÆBURN.
Paramount to the Christopher RÆBURN philosophy since 2001 is REMADE – reworking surplus materials, products and artefacts into completely new designs. Every REMADE piece is a limited edition, proudly cut and reconstructed in England.
Designs developed at the Christopher RÆBURN studio are considered for their impact on the environment. Whether reworking surplus materials, minimising carbon footprint with local manufacturing, or simply producing smaller batches, waste can be REDUCED.
Seeking the most sustainable materials around the globe, and working with responsible manufacturing partners is key to the Christopher RÆBURN brand. RECYCLING pre-existing materials and harnessing green technologies is fundamental to the production process.
The Christopher Ræburn REMADE philosophy has its origins in his fascination with military materials and utilitarian clothing. Established in 2010, Ræburn’s never-ending ‘archaeological’ discoveries led to his first full collection (AW10 PREPARE) using de-commissioned military stock to create limited edition outerwear for both men and women. From wool field jackets to nylon parachute canopies, each REMADE style is produced by meticulously deconstructing the original and reworking the materials into unique and ethical garments.
