Christopher Ræburn X Wool and The Gang

26.02.2015

We’re so pleased to be collaborating with Wool and The Gang this season to create an amazing array of knitted accessories. The Bruce Shark Mits as seen in our AW15 show earlier this week are available now to buy exclusively from Wool and The Gang. Alternatively if you’re feeling adventurous you could buy a knit kit and make them yourself. Thanks Wool & The Gang for helping to make IMMERSE one of our favourite womenswear collections to date and look out for snoods, beanies and belts coming later this year.

Christopher Ræburn X UGG Boots

24.02.2015

Getting the right shoes to complement each seasonal collection is often a quintessential element in creating the overall look. Comfort, functionality, and of course style are all key elements of our offer, so working with UGGs this season made a lot of sense. The Rella shoe that featured in the AW15 show complemented the collection perfectly and we wanted to say a big thank you to UGG for their support in helping us to create what we feel is one of our strongest shows to date.

Men's Health X Christopher Raeburn

22.01.2015

We want to say a big thank you to Men’s Health for the post show party they held at The Sanderson Hotel; it’s safe to say a good night was had by all! It was also great to see the exclusive shark print tote bag we designed for the Men’s Health survival kit being handed out by a Raeburn clad crew at various LC:M venues.

Christopher Ræburn X Lavazza

14.01.2015

To celebrate the launch of our AW15 menswear collection RAFT, we partnered with Lavazza to create an exclusive coffee cup for LC:M. This season’s concept was inspired by the epic challenges faced by a group of men stranded at sea on a life raft; needless to say the shark was the only contender for our AW15 animal mascot. It was great to see our circling shark print, which features on t-shirts in the collection, also clutched in the hands of the many caffeine addicts rushing from one show to another at LC:M. We want to say a big thank you to Lavazza for supporting us, it’s always exciting to have the chance to apply our prints in alternative formats and we were really pleased with the outcome.

AW15 RAFT Merino Wool

14.01.2015

It’s official we love wool, this season saw the continuation of our partnership with The Woolmark Company. The Woolmark team has been incredibly supportive, helping us to source and develop a number of new categories over the last year; we are particularly proud of the Merino knitwear that features in this season’s RAFT collection. We’d also like to say a big thank you to Woolmark for introducing us to wool denim; we’re really excited about the new combat pants and trousers that we’ve been able to develop using this incredible fabric and we’re looking forward to seeing it on the rails of stores later in the year.

Christopher Ræburn x Cool Wool – A Perfect Partnership

15.09.2014

At Christopher Ræburn we work hard to establish partnerships and collaborations that reflect our values as a business and uphold our commitment to doing things differently. Now in it’s third season our partnership with The Woolmark Company is a great exemplar of this ethos.  Working with The Woolmark Comapny we have been able to innovate both in terms of the fabrics we use and the garments we design and make. Integrating Cool Wool has allowed us to establish some key styles, such as the Hybrid Hoodie, that are becoming Christopher Raeburn classics. We’re really proud to be using Cool Wool again this season and the SS15 womenswear collection ASCENT demonstrates the unique properties of this super lightweight Merino Wool. The Cool Wool garments that feature in ASCENT bridge the gap between casualwear and soft tailoring and create garments with an easy elegance and feminine functionality. We want to say a big thank you to the Woolmark Company for all the support to date.

Christopher Ræburn × Barbour

21.07.2014

We have teamed up with British Heritage brand Barbour to create a capsule collection of limited edition womenswear pieces. Inspired by Barbour’s extensive archive and military history but with Christopher Raeburn’s unique handwriting, the collection captures the spirit and ethos of both brands.

The collection, which now is available to purchase at Fenwick of Bond Street, features outerwear, knitwear, shirts and dresses in addition to an assortment of accessories including hats, gloves, scarves and bags.

The collection takes it's inspiration from the story of the Ursula Jacket from the Barbour archive:

“In 1937, Captain George Phillips took command of the Ursula, one of the first of the new U-class submarines.  One of his Lieutenant’s was a keen motorcyclist who wore a one piece oversuit made by Barbour. Captain Phillips instructed him to wear the suit while he aimed a fire hose on him. Despite the force of the water, the navigating officer remained dry. Impressed by the protection the suit offered, Captain Phillips visited Barbour and persuaded them to cut the suit in two to make a jacket and trousers.  The result was the ‘Ursula Suit’ which became standard issue for all in the Submarine service.“

Sarah Lawrenson, Head of Womenswear at Barbour said “We are delighted to be working with Christopher Ræburn.  When he came up to see the Barbour archives, he was immediately attracted to the story of the Ursula suit. Together, we have created a collection which not only captures the essence of Barbour’s military heritage but also reflects the signature handwriting of both brands.  The use of tartan and Christopher’s signature snow spot are cleverly interwoven to create unique and striking designs.”

Christopher added: “Working with Barbour and particularly on womenswear has been a real honour. It’s a brand with so much heritage that appealed to me due to its inherent function but I’m proud of the fun, feminine collection that we’ve been able to achieve through the collaboration.”
